Grayson Perry: Smash Hits

When the National Galleries of Scotland mounted the largest ever UK exhibition of Grayson Perry’s work, they asked STROMA to make the film

Almost 100,000 visitors came to see the show across its run at the Royal Scottish Academy. Our job was to get Grayson on camera in that space, giving audiences a way into the exhibition that felt as unguarded and alive as the work itself.

Working around Grayson’s schedule, we had a single afternoon in the gallery before it opened to the public. The film that came out of it runs to ten minutes of Grayson talking freely about his own work, on his own terms. From the same shoot we produced six social media cut-downs, distributed by NGS across YouTube and Facebook alongside the main film.

All delivered within a week.
